Museum of modern literature

The museum of modern literature was designed by London based architect David Chipperfield. It is located in Germany and overlooks the valley of the Neckar River.

The museum front is dominated by limestone columns. The interior galleries are dimly lit with artificial light as the manuscripts is very delicate. In comparison to the necessary lighting conditions of the galleries,Chipperfield allows the distribution of the sun light from the tall glass windows which constitute the exterior walls.
